Wasabi Off-Shoots

Wasabi off-shoots are the best way to grow wasabi at home.  Hands down.  Also known as wakime, our wasabi off-shoots have established root systems and are much healthier and more durable compared to tissue cultured 1st generation wasabi. Most off-shoots that we sell will have an established meristem and growth from the crown will be more rapid.  This is a rare seasonal offering.

- Off-shoots will range in size from small to medium.

- Most/larger leaves will be trimmed from the off-shoots.  This allows for more crown growth and facilitated packaging/shipping.

- Off-shoots are packaged in a zip-lock bag with a moist paper towel and a few drops of water.  They are packaged in insulated envelopes with an ice pack. 

- I recommend if shipping in the summer, or hotter weather (temperatures ranging to the mid-80's) to ship 1-2 days minimum.
